Towers of Fungus Coming to New York

This summer, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City will showcase a young architect’s unusual project: sculptural towers built from fungal mycelium grown on corn-stalk waste.  Sounds pretty sustainable!  I wonder what will happen in a heavy rain, though.  Either they will dissolve, or they will grow even larger….
