Each August the Telluride Mushroom Festival (Shroomfest) brings together some of the biggest names and quirkiest personalities in the world of mycology for one of the most distinctive mushroom festivals on the planet.
The 2014 meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, August 14-17. However, according to an update today on their Facebook page, this has had to be rescheduled for Saturday through Tuesday, August 16-19. If you had hoped to attend, better adjust your plans now. Tickets go on sale March 1st.
Telluride is a jewel of a town high in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. It’s an easy day’s drive from Arizona, and well worth visiting at any time of the year, but in the late summer rains of August it fairly explodes with fungi. See you there, maybe?
