2014 Telluride Shroomfest rescheduled

shroomfest-logoEach August the Telluride Mushroom Festival (Shroomfest) brings together some of the biggest names and quirkiest personalities in the world of mycology for one of the most distinctive mushroom festivals on the planet.

The 2014 meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, August 14-17. However, according to an update today on their Facebook page, this has had to be rescheduled for Saturday through Tuesday, August 16-19.  If you had hoped to attend, better adjust your plans now. Tickets go on sale March 1st.

Telluride is a jewel of a town high in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. It’s an easy day’s drive from Arizona, and well worth visiting at any time of the year, but in the late summer rains of August it fairly explodes with fungi.  See you there, maybe?

One Response to 2014 Telluride Shroomfest rescheduled

I had not planned to attend, but the new dates coincide nicely with the beginning of my summer vacation. I do believe I will make the effort to go now. I bought a Tacoma 4×4 that is itching for a road trip up to the mountains. Got 3 extra seats if anyone is interested in carpooling from Arizona….
